A big shout out to NMEA- Veterans for helping our Lodge to help a veteran with required shoes and clothes for a new job. This small act of kindness overwhelmed our veteran. It’s a beginning of a new chapter in his life.

Members, Schools, businesses and the Community pulled to together to donate to the Fire Relief.
Gloves, talc powder and snacks were also delivered to the firefighters.
Elk’s sorting and boxing items to go to our friends in need in Las Vegas and Ruidoso, NM.
Families also will be receiving items here in ABQ that are being hosted in Hotels by Safe Space NM a nonprofit.
Congratulations to Elks Lodge 461 Stan and Janice Gauna and Granddaughter, Cecelia.
Stan and Janice are proud to announce that their Granddaughter, Cecelia Lopez is a Legacy Scholarship Winner.
Cecelia is from Chicago, Illinois and won $1,000 a year and will be attending University of Illinois. Cecelia carried a 4.6 and was active in varsity tennis and Lacrosse. She is involved with an organization called Increase the Peace that does community service in neighborhoods. She also is a counselor at “Hope that Helps” for 3 – 5-year-old children.
