My Fellow Elks,
I hope everyone is well and having a great year.
Time is flying by and we must now get ready for the Fall Workshop for 2025.
This year the FW and DD Clinic will be at the Isleta Casino and Resort as previously stated at the
Spring Convention. The Dates are 13th and 14th of September with availability to arrive on the
12th.
As in last year, there is a registration fee associated with this Fall Workshop. It is $20 and you
can register on the website and the form will immediately go to the State Secretary. You can
also pay the fee with PayPal. The State Secretary will have the registration table open starting
Saturday morning. You can utilize the online form from the NMELKS.COM website in which
PayPal is automatic, or you can search PayPal by using the nmeasecretary@gmail.com email
address, or search New Mexico Elks Association.
Room rates are $149 for King and Queen rooms and $169 for the Junior Suites. The code to lock
in these rates is FAL0925. The phone numbers are 505-848-1999 or 50-724-3800.
We will be having one hospitality room for the State on Saturday night in the Ballroom with
entertainment hosted by President Ferri.
There will be a portable bar set up by Isleta Casino and Resort and we will not be allowing
anyone to bring in their own alcohol to the hospitality room downstairs. Now, saying that, what
you do in your own sleeping rooms is up to you, but as far as an official hospitality room there is
only one for the whole state.
Saturday will be President Ferri’s Fall Workshop and Sunday will be the DD Clinic.
Any questions or comments, feel free to contact me, cjhill3@msn.com.

Contact Bob Thurston at damia218@aol.com with any questions.
New Mexico had a remarkable improvement in ranking from 23rd in 2023 to 16th which resulted in much better section assignment for the 159th Grand Lodge Convention held in Austin, TX this year. Congratulations to everyone on continued growth in New Mexico this year!
Congratulations to all the newly installed State officers. This will be a great year !!
There was a mistake in the posting of the Women’s team who won the New Mexico Bowling Tournament. Due to mistakes in totaling the scores, Farmington Gems is the winner of the Women’s Division. Bob Thurston
Tournament was a great success. We had 14 teams participating this year. The teams represent Raton, Silver City, Farmington, Rio Rancho, Gallup, Carlsbad, and Pinetop, Arizona.
The women’s 1st place team was Raton Elks #865.
The men’s 1st place team was Silver City.
What a wonderful visit by our Vice President, Brenda Ferri! The Elks were so happy that she could attend our Luau which is a fundraiser for our Community of Youth!
Also a wonderful surprise was to have with us Jacob Fritchie, whom I met in Minneapolis at the GL Convention. He is one of our National Elks Most Valuable Student Winners who was interning at Sandia National Labs. Jacob spent a lot of time talking to people and lending a hand where ever needed. What a shining example of our future. Jacob is now getting ready to go to University of Illinois to start his PHD in Nuclear Engineering.
