New Mexico delegations that will be attending Grand Lodge this year, PSP Jim Larrabee asked me to post this information.
To date, only 7 people have signed up to go to Grand Lodge Convention. Grand Lodge is already asking to take 10 rooms away from the NM delegation due to other states needing them. Such as New York, they have 136 ER’s, Texas, they have around 60 ER’s attending. Please sign up ASAP so we can guarantee your room at the hotel Grand Lodge has assigned us.

Rio Rancho Lodge #2500 takes $1500 worth of clothes and hygiene supplies to the VA to be distributed to homeless veterans
On November 20, 2017, Al Semrua – Rio Rancho Lodge Committee Chairman, delivered 16 Sleeping bags and 16 boxes of personal hygiene items, thermals, hoodies and gloves to the Albuquerque Veterans Administration
On December 12, 2017 Allen, Jan, Kathy, Bobbie, and Veterans Chair Al of Rio Rancho Lodge #2500 prepared Swiss Colony meat packages to go out to veterans
On Wednesday October 11, Al Semrua, Jan Semrua and Allen Semrua Jr of Rio Rancho Lodge 2500 went shopping for house hold goods and delivered them to the Veterans Administration in Albuquerque. These goods will be used in apartments that local veterans will be moving into.
On August 18, 2017 Al Semrau and Jan Semura delivered clothing to the Homeless Veterans Division of the Albuquerque Veterans Administration. Pictured are the clothing donations, Al and Jan and members of the Veterans Administration.
Clayton Lodge will be hosting a BBQ brisket picnic to help raise funds for the Lodge. There will also be a silent auction featuring some pretty nice items! Mark your calendar – October 14th!
ELKS DISASTER RELIEF PROGRAM HELPING TEXAS VICTIMS
Chicago, IL –National Elks President Malcolm J. McPherson Jr. recently announced Local Elks Lodges from every state, Guam, Puerto Rico and the Panama Canal Zone will be raising donations to assist the thousands impacted by Hurricane Harvey in Texas.
National Elks President Malcolm J. McPherson Jr. also authorized a donation of $25,000 be made from the Elks Disaster Relief Program, Inc. His motto is “Strengthening Elkdom through Community Awareness”
The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks has made more than 5 Billion in donations since they first started 149 years ago. Last year alone, the Elks donated approximately $323 million in cash, gifts and time to make our communities better places to live. The Elks are one of the premier patriotic and charitable organizations in the United States of America.
They have more than 1,900 Elks Lodges across the country with a total membership nearing 800,000. Elks’ members must be American citizens who are at least 21 years of age and must believe in God.
